My Story
It all began with the Rustic Star Warmer
I loved the concept of a candle that was lit with a low-watt light bulb (which keeps the wax no hotter than body temperature) instead of a traditional flame - and because of that there was no wick, no flame, and no soot! I loved burning candles in my home, but couldn't stand the soot that inevitably ended up on my walls and ceilings - and especially didn't like the ugly, black, soot-filled glass jars I was left with once the wax all burned away. And not only that, because there is no open flame, Scentsy is not only a SAFE alternative to traditional candles it is child and pet friendly.
I was so excited about this product I did not even wait for my warmer to arrive before signing up in April of 2010. In November of 2011 I became Director of "It Pays to Party"
When I joined Scentsy I was a Paralegal working 40+ hours a week. In December of 2012 I left my job of 7+ years to do Scentsy full time. I could not be happier. I now have the freedom I want and make my own schedule.
Because of Scentsy and the determination of Orville and Heidi Thompson to build their business around three core values Simplicity, Authenticity, and Generosity, I am now blessed to be able to do all the things I couldn't do before.
In 2015, I married the love of my life. Ross is the most amazing man/father/pepere/business partner any family could ever be blessed with. We have three grandchildren. (Kendall, Taryn & Jason Jr.) It is truly a blessing to be able to share our journey and our dreams with everyone.
